Casa I News

Dear Families,

With the leaves turning color and the chill in the morning air, we certainly know fall is here. In our environment the changes are noticeable as well. The children are showing many signs of independence and some of them are definitely eager to learn everything in the Casa! This past month we have focused on helping the children feel comfortable in making choices, communicating and behaving with grace and courtesy with other children and definitely to enjoy coming to school. We had a lovely first month with many changes and improvements in all of us. I’m looking forward to observing new achievements and many more learning experiences ahead. I hope you enjoy our photo gallery; which speaks for itself! We also would love to welcome Bodhi and his family to our Casa, we are super excited!

Reminders:

  • Please arrive on time. We would like your child feel part of the beginning of the work cycle.

  • Send a well balance lunch for your child. The school provides milk and water. We do not recommend box lunches or juice boxes unless 100% juice.

  • Oct. 28th We will have Fall Celebration Activities in our Casa with games and fall projects. Please let me know if your child has any allergies to face paint.

Ways to foster Independence at home:
1.    The child should be an active part in all areas of the house.
2.    Provide the child with child size tools and space.
3.     Make bedtime consistent every night, develop a routine.
4.    Show the child how to do things. If they forget how to do it, reminded them and focus on their effort.
